Where these characters come from

There is no upside-down alphabet in Unicode. Each letter is substituted with a different character that happens to resemble it inverted — a turned e, a Greek letter, a punctuation mark — and the string is then reversed.

Worth knowing before you use them

Because the substitutions are approximations, a few letters are noticeably imperfect and the effect depends on the reader's font. It works best on short phrases.

Where this family earns its place

This is a novelty effect and reads as one, which is fine when that is the intent. It works for a short phrase in a caption or a playful bio line. Longer strings expose the approximations in the letter substitutions, and the result gets noticeably rougher the more text you feed it.

Every style here, and how each one works

The method matters more than the name: it determines whether your letters are replaced, recased or merely marked, and that in turn decides how the result behaves when pasted into a field that validates its input.
