Cookie Policy

UltraTextGen currently sets no advertising or analytics cookies. This page explains what would change if that ever happened, and how you would control it.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Some are set by us, others by third parties such as an advertising or analytics provider. Some vanish when you close the tab; others persist until they expire or you clear them. We use "cookies" here to also cover local storage and similar technologies.

Strictly necessary

A small amount of local storage remembers your theme choice and any styles you have saved. This never leaves your device and is not used to track you. It cannot be switched off from here because it is what makes those features work — clearing your browser data removes it.

How to control cookies

You have several independent controls:

  • Use the "Privacy & cookie settings" link in the footer to change your consent at any time.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser — we treat it as an opt-out from sharing for advertising.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking everything may stop parts of the site working.
  • Opt out of personalised advertising directly with the ad networks through the industry tools operated by the Digital Advertising Alliance and Your Online Choices.

Do Not Track

There is still no agreed standard for how sites should answer a Do Not Track header, so we do not act on it. We do act on Global Privacy Control, which is specified well enough to honour.

Why this page is shorter than you might expect

Most cookie policies are long because the site behind them runs a dozen trackers. This one is short because the tool itself needs almost nothing. There are no accounts, no shopping basket, no saved sessions to keep alive, and no personalisation to remember across visits — the generator simply transforms text in front of you and forgets it.

The only thing genuinely stored for you is a theme preference and your saved styles, and both live in your own browser rather than on a server. Everything else listed here exists because of measurement or advertising, and each of those is switched on only when the corresponding service is actually configured.

Cookies set by other people's embeds

We do not embed videos, comment widgets, social feeds, chat popups or share buttons. Those are the usual hidden source of third-party cookies on a content site, and leaving them out is deliberate: it keeps the page fast and keeps the number of companies involved in your visit as close to zero as we can manage.

If we ever add something that changes this, it will appear on this page before it appears on the site.

How long cookies last

Durations are set by whoever issues the cookie, not by us, and they change from time to time without notice. Rather than publish a table that quietly goes stale, we would rather tell you the reliable way to check: open your browser's developer tools, look at the storage or application tab, and you will see every cookie currently set for this site along with its exact expiry.

You can delete any of them from that same panel, and nothing on this site will break if you do — you will simply be asked for your consent choice again on your next visit.
