Copyright & DMCA Policy
We respect copyright and expect the same from our users. This page explains how to tell us about material you believe infringes your rights.

What is on this site
Almost everything here is either written by us or generated by our own code. Unicode characters and their code points are a public technical standard and are not anyone's copyright. Our articles, design and generated artwork are our own work.
That means infringement claims should be rare — but if we have got something wrong, we want to know.
How to send a notice
Email content@uplily.online with "Copyright notice" in the subject line. For us to act, your notice needs to include:
- your signature, electronic or physical;
- identification of the work you say has been infringed;
- the exact URL on this site where the material appears, so we can find it;
- your name, email address and a telephone number or postal address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
Before you send a formal notice
You are welcome to just email and ask. Most questions about attribution or reuse can be settled in a message or two without a formal filing, and a notice that misrepresents infringement can expose the sender to liability for costs and damages.
What we do
When we receive a notice that contains the elements above, we review it promptly and remove or disable the material where the claim is well founded. We keep a record of notices received.
Counter-notice
If material of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, identification of what was removed and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your contact details together with your consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court.
Why there is no postal address here
A physical address is required to register a designated agent with the Copyright Office, which is what secures DMCA safe-harbour protection. Safe harbour matters to services that host material uploaded by their users, because it shields them from liability for content they did not create.
This site hosts none. Every page is either written by us or produced by our own code, and there is no upload form, no account and no user-contributed library. There is accordingly no third-party material for a safe harbour to cover, and copyright questions reach us fastest by email.
Designated agent
Copyright notices should be sent to content@uplily.online, marked for the attention of the designated copyright agent.
