How Ultra Wavy is produced
This style attaches combining marks to your characters instead of replacing them. A combining mark has no width of its own — it is drawn on top of, through, or beneath the character before it, so each letter ends up carrying an extra mark.
The base letters remain intact, so the underlying word is often still searchable. The trade-off is fragility: some applications strip combining marks on paste, some cap how many they will accept per character, and rendering position varies between fonts.

Where it works
About this family
These attach a combining mark that renders below or above each character: U+0332 combining low line for the single underline, U+0333 for the double, U+0330 combining tilde below for the wavy version, and U+0305 and U+033F for the single and double overlines that sit above. The ultra wavy style is the odd one out — it applies a combining tilde above every second character, so the result ripples rather than running continuously. As with strikethrough, your letters are untouched; the mark occupies vertical space that was already reserved for accents, which is why the text stays the same width.
Before you use it
Underline marks collide with descenders. A lowercase g, j, p, q or y already occupies the space where U+0332 wants to draw, so in most fonts the line cuts through the tail rather than passing cleanly beneath it. Overlines have the mirror-image problem with accented capitals. Neither is a bug and no generator can correct it, because the mark is positioned by the font rather than by the text — which is why the same string looks tidy on one device and cramped on another. Test with the actual words you intend to use rather than a sample that happens to avoid descenders. It is also worth remembering that underlined text is read as a hyperlink almost everywhere on the web, so an underlined phrase in a bio invites clicks that lead nowhere.
